Intro to workspaces

What are workspaces?

Workspaces are dedicated spaces for different brands, teams, or departments. You can create multiple workspaces, and users can easily switch between them.

Each workspace is linked to a SharePoint site, and can hold different asset libraries, templates, and have its own settings.

ℹ️
You can share asset libraries between workspaces, allowing you to combine organization-wide libraries with workspace-specific ones. See Best practices for organizing asset libraries to help users find assets easier and get the most out of BrandIn.

Get started with workspaces

After signing into BrandIn:

  • If you have access to one workspace, you’ll be taken directly to its home screen.
  • If you have access to multiple workspaces, you’ll see a list of all available workspaces. Choose the workspace you want to use or select New workspace to add a new one.

You can switch workspace by selecting the Workspaces & account button in the upper-left corner of the home screen.

Add or edit workspaces

To manage your workspaces, go to the Workspaces screen. You can find the Workspaces screen in any of the following ways:

  • Select the Workspaces & account button in the upper-left corner of the home screen
  • Go to the Settings menu in the lower-right corner of the workspace home screen, then select Workspaces.

Once on the workspaces screen:

  • To add a workspace, select Add workspace.
  • To edit or remove a workspace, right-click the workspace or select the More options button (three dots) next to it to open workspace settings.

Workspace recognition

When users create a new file using the New presentation or New document buttons, BrandIn will remember the associated workspace and automatically opens the correct workspace every time BrandIn is opened.

Manage workspace access

Each workspace is linked to a SharePoint site. You can manage who can access a workspace by using the site's privacy settings in SharePoint. Learn how to add or remove users from a workspace.
