BrandIn has different library types, each designed for different types of assets. Choosing the right library type ensures you and your users get the most out of BrandIn's features. You can choose a library type whenever you add a library, and you can change it anytime in settings.
ℹ️Every workspace includes a special template library which users can access via the New presentation and New document buttons. This library is automatically created when you set up a new workspace. If you already have a template library set up on SharePoint, you can link it later in the workspace settings. Learn how to change template library location.
Default views
Each library type has a default layout optimized for its assets, with varying column numbers and text labels. For assets where the file name is hidden, you can easily see the full file name by right clicking the assets or selecting the More options button (three dots).
What is image optimization?
BrandIn optimizes images on insertion to maintain quality while reducing file size, ensuring your files stay lightweight and easy to share.
Selecting an image from a library will insert an optimized size. To insert an image at its original size, right click the asset or select the More options button, then Insert original size.
How image optimization works
- BrandIn supports JPG, PNG, and TIF image files in either an image library or a general library
- Large images are resized to fit within a 1920×1920-pixel area, ensuring full HD resolution without significant loss in quality. Smaller images are inserted at their original size.
- TIF files are converted to JPG during optimization, but original-size TIF images remain in TIF format.
- PNG files remain as PNG. Transparency is not affected.
You can always choose to insert at original size using the More options menu.
Choosing the right library type
To take advantage of optimized views and features, we recommend organizing images, icons, and slides into their respective library types.
⚠️Unsupported file types are automatically hidden in these libraries. For other asset types or libraries with mixed assets, use a General library.
