Change template library location

Modified on Fri, 30 May at 11:10 AM

ℹ️
If your organization already has a template library set up on SharePoint – or uses separate locations for PowerPoint and Word templates – you can link those directly in BrandIn.

By default, both the New presentation and New document buttons in a workspace are linked to the same Documents library on the connected SharePoint site. This default location is set when the workspace is created.

To change the location, or use separate locations for PowerPoint and Word templates, you’ll need to edit the link for each one individually.

To change the template library location:

  1. Go to the home screen of the workspace where you want to edit template library location.
  2. Select the Edit button next to the workspace name to open workspace settings.
  3. Go to Templates.
  4. Select the application where you want to change template library location.
  5. Select Edit location.
  6. Select Edit link (pencil icon) next to the current SharePoint link.
    ℹ️
Note: you can select the SharePoint link to open the location in your browser.
  7. In SharePoint, copy the link of the new library or folder location you want to use from the browser's address bar, and paste it into the SharePoint link box in BrandIn.
  8. Select Enter to validate the link.
  9. Select Save to apply the new location.

Templates from the linked location will now be available from the New presentation or New document button on the workspace home screen, depending on which application the changes apply to.
