What is Brand Check?

Brand Check is a feature in BrandIn that ensures presentations follow your organization’s brand guidelines.

It checks slides or entire presentations for off-brand content, and fixes colors and fonts that don’t match your template style in just a few clicks, without needing to manually review or adjust formatting.

ℹ️
Brand Check is a desktop-only PowerPoint feature.

How does it work?

Brand Check runs in BrandIn for PowerPoint and uses the BrandIn Desktop Extension.

When a user selects Check brand on the home screen, it:

  • Scans the selected slide.
  • Fixes fonts and colors of on-slide objects to match template's theme and custom colors.
  • Lets users preview suggested fixes before accepting or discarding them. Users can also fix the entire presentation at once.

How to enable Brand Check

To use Brand Check, the BrandIn Desktop Extension must be installed for all users. Learn more about the desktop extension and how to install it.

ℹ️
If your team is on the free plan, Brand Check is automatically enabled in all workspaces once the BrandIn Desktop Extension is installed by an admin.

To turn on the feature for a workspace:

  1. Download the BrandIn Desktop Extension and install it.
  2. Go to the home screen of the workspace where you want to enable the feature.
  3. Select Edit next to the workspace name to open workspace settings.
  4. Go to Features.
  5. Select Brand Check and toggle it on.

Once enabled, the Check brand button will appear on the workspace home screen for users. If users don’t have the desktop extension installed, they will be guided to install it when they select the Check brand button.
